Working with Shell Schoepentoeters™, we learn how the efficiency of any equipment working with two phase distributors can be reduced by the momentum.
In any case, equipments with distributor working in two phase flow will improve its performance If we keep as long as possible the inlet line in a vertical plane.

The Huge Sloped and welded equipments case

Take care if big equipments shall be installed with slope and also shall be welded together in site (as Sulphur reactor with Waste heat boiler).
For instance, large diameters as nine feet, with a slope of one degree create a top projection in the highest equipment (and also a bottom projection in the lowest equipment) of almost one inch. If by mistake the highest equipment will be early installed, erection contractor will found an overlapping of almost two inch (usually they will claim by a foundation mistake)

Vent and/or drain Pockets by horizontal reducers (eccentric)

The location of the side parallel to the axis will be located upward or downward based on the opposite vertical piping running of the large size of the reducer:






If the vertical piping of the large size running upward the flat side shall be installed with continuous horizontal bottom in order to avoid drain pocket































If the vertical piping of the large size running downward the flat side shall be installed with continuous horizontal top in order to avoid vent pocket.



































Avoid install concentric reducers in horizontal piping

VEPICA
As PMC Engineering Manager for Orifuel Sinovensa, shall assure the quality and engineering coordination of EPC Contractor for the following active projects: Jose Orimulsion Plant (EPC contractor Inelectra), Orimulsion Storage Tanks (EPC Contractor Jantesa), Diluent Tank Facility, Diluent Caustic Wash System and new gas metering station (EPC contractor Inelectra).
Support Orifuel Sinovensa in the technical scope, clarifications and technical evaluation for the following bidding process: Sacrifice treatment System, Morichal pump station and PTO pump station

Tecnicas Reunidas (Madrid)
Responsible of Plot-Plan, Process Engineering Flow Diagrams, Piping Design and 3D Model Coordination between Tecnicas Reunidas Front-End develop Team (at Madrid Operation Center) and CTCI Detailed Engineering Team (at Beijing Operation Center) for the "EO/MEG PROJECT'.
The "EO/MEG PROJECT" is an Ethylene Oxide / Mono Ethylene Glycol Plant, for CSPC NANHAl (a joint venture between Shell and China National Offshore Oil Corporation CNOOC) with a design capacity of 320000 Ton/year this plant is located at Nanhai petrochemical complex in China.

VEPICA
VEPICA's Piping Manager Department. Reporting directly to the Engineering Vice-Presidency, responsible for administrate the company mechanical discipline budget (resources). Responsibilities include:
· Control for each proposal assigned
· Evaluate Market share position
· Update Budget, based on market changes
· Responsible for maintained planned schedules and critical milestone dates
· Review and update internal procedures
· Co-ordination of project multi disciplines (assigned) for completion of final product

As Project/Engineering Manager, participated in several projects for the Oil, Petrochemical Industry and for the National private sector, among which stand out:
· Detailed Engineering "NEWXYLENE TANKS" for CITGO in Lake Charles (USA)
· Detailed Engineering "AVGASRATIONALIZATIONSYSTEM" for "ISLA" Refinery in Curacao
· IPC Cerro Negro Upgrade Project. 120 MBPSD heavy oil crude process unit. The work included the design of the Naphtha Hydrotreater unit, PSA unit, Utility unit (Boilers, air compressor, demineralized water unit, cooling towers, chemical packages, etc) and offsite facilities including flare, Wastewater treatment unit, tankage area and substations.

· Detailed Engineering "New Facilities to prepare handling Unloading Gasoline to Yagua-Sisco” for "EL PALITO" Refinery

· Detailed Engineering "Replace of Compressor Unit No. 3" for CORPOVEN, Anaco (Santa Rosa).
As Audit Manager, was responsible of VEPICA's Quality Plan Coordination, develop Diagnostic and Analysis Audit, speeding and ending of Improvement Opportunities and Close Correctives Actions.
As Mechanical Supervisor, supervised ail mechanical activities:
New Equipment Specification, Equipment modifications Data sheets (pump impellers and Vessels/Heat exchangers internals modifications), Update Plot-Plans, Develop Piping Drawings (Isometrics and Orthographic) prepare Requisition, Bid Packages, Technical Evaluations of Quotations in several projects for the Oil, Petrochemical Industry and for the National private sector, among which stand out:
· RESILIN Project: New Plant for 150000 ton/year of Polyethylene, based on DUPONT Sclairtech process; Tablazo Edo, Zulia. (66800 Man-hours)
